We provide advice and representation on all aspects of resource management and local government law to Regional Councils, Territorial Authorities (City and District Councils) and Unitary Councils, as well as businesses and private individuals.

This includes policy statements and plans, resource consent applications, prosecution and enforcement actions, official information and privacy issues, rating powers, public works, including compulsory acquisition of property and other related issues.

Although much of our work involves working with Council clients, we are adept at managing any conflicts of interest in the event we are asked to act for businesses or private individuals and have a network of referral lawyers we can pass work to. Our experience acting for Councils gives us invaluable insights where we can represent others.
